At Kodaikanal Wildlife Sanctuary, we strive to provide a smooth and transparent booking experience for all visitors. Please read our refund policy carefully before making any reservation or booking through our website.
In case we are forced to cancel OR modify your Booking/Reservation due to natural calamities, acts of god, civil unrest, war, diseases, health risk, epidemics, terrorist activities OR its consequences, Government ordered lockdowns OR travel restrictions declared by the Government, Government Restriction on Tourism Activities in the Reserve and other unforeseeable events beyond our control, it will NOT be treated as a cancellation by Periyar Tiger Reserve. In this case, you could choose to shift over to a mutually agreed new date at no extra cost OR avail a refund with minimum cancellation charges (lowest slab will apply).
We reserve the right to cancel or modify Bookings/Reservations where it appears that a guest has engaged in fraudulent OR unlawful activity OR has knowingly furnished incorrect information OR under other circumstances where it appears that the reservation contains OR has resulted from a mistake or error.
We reserve the right to cancel or modify bookings under unforeseen circumstances within our control where we need to close down the facility for repairs or for catering to VIP visits. Under such circumstances, it shall be treated as Cancellation by Periyar Tiger Reserve and the guest shall be refunded in full.
Cancellation Requests shall be entertained ONLY through our website.
In case the guest fails to show up for Booking/Reservations, no refund or rescheduling will be applicable. No further communication regarding this shall be entertained or replied to.
Bookings/Reservations once made cannot be modified or cancelled partially.
Any refund will take at least 20 days to process, subject to approval of the same.
Payment Gateway processing charges will not be refunded.
Guests can cancel their bookings Online and the following cancellation charges will be levied
Refunds for cancellations will be processed based on the following conditions:
Cancellation made 15 days or more before the scheduled visit date – Eligible for 90% refund
Cancellation made between 7 to 14 days before the visit date – Eligible for 50% refund
Cancellation made less than 24 hours before the visit date – No refund will be provided
If you do not visit on the booking schedule, the booking amount will not be refunded.
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used during booking. Refunds may take approximately 7–14 business days depending on your bank or payment provider. Applicable payment gateway or transaction charges may be deducted from the refund amount.
Visitors may request to reschedule their booking subject to availability. Rescheduling requests should be submitted at least 72 hours before the scheduled visit date. Requests made after this period may not be accepted.
In certain situations such as:
Extreme weather conditions
Government restrictions
Forest department regulations
Natural disasters or safety concerns
Kodaikanal Wildlife Sanctuary reserves the right to cancel bookings. In such cases, visitors will be offered either:
Full refund, or
Rescheduling option based on availability
Refunds will not be provided for:
Late arrivals or missed activities
Personal emergencies or travel delays
Incorrect booking details provided by the visitor
Voluntary cancellation during the activity or visit
If the booking is made through third-party travel agents or booking platforms, refund and cancellation policies of those respective platforms may also apply.
We reserve the right to modify or update this Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. Updated policies will be published on this page.
